Volunteers from the CLC Kansas City Chapter spent the morning of Saturday December 8, 2012, at the Kansas City Community Kitchen (KCCK) preparing food for fellow citizens who do not have enough to eat.
As Chair of the CLC’s Philanthropy Subcommittee, Ryan Crist, Project Manager, PCI (Performance Contracting Inc.), has been leading the CLC’s volunteer efforts at KCCK. He was assisted this year by Justin Waters, CLC Education Subcommittee Co-Chair.
Ryan commented, “I would like to thank everyone who took time from their weekend to pay it forward and give a lift to others.” This was the third consecutive year CLC has voluteered at the KCCK.
The KCCK is located at 750 Paseo Boulevard (on the east side of downtown Kansas City, Missouri). It is part of the Episcopal Hunger Relief Network, a cooperative network of anti-hunger ministries offered by parishes within the Episcopal Diocese of West Missouri and the Episcopal Diocese of Kansas. This year’s event was held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
In November, the CLC hit the 180-member mark ( an all-time high for the organization) with the addition of Rebecca Heiman, Project Coordinator, Titan Built LLC. Travis Schoenfelder was the CLC Membership Subcommittee Chair in 2012. Katie Kies, SuperManager, Centric Projects, was the CLC Chair in 2012.
